Juliette's Roses

Behind this name hides a woman with a unique journey, Juliette Anglade, a doctor in agronomy who, against all expectations, became a grower of old and fragrant roses.

As a child, she spent her holidays far from the hustle and bustle of Paris with her grandmother in the beautiful Lorraine countryside. There, the young girl developed a love for nature, the land, and the great outdoors. Admiring the family garden, she will forever remember the unique scent of the local roses.

After spending a few years in Paris and abroad for her research, Juliette wanted to reconnect with her roots, her heritage and her values. This is how Les Roses de Juliette was born in 2020 , a bold project, a little crazy, it must be admitted, but oh so sublime.

Towards a conservatory of the perfume rose

Passionate about this place and roses, Juliette will unearth ancient botanical species such as Gallic roses, more fruity and deep than the Damask rose which dominates the world market.

Here in Lorraine, you will discover in this small conservatory of the perfume rose species that have shaped the myth of rose water since the dawn of time… a unique exploitation in the world of more than 2000 plants and 200 varieties meticulously sourced, propagated and pampered without pesticides in Ancy-Dornot on the Moselle hillsides. Five years after their planting, these plants offer us an invaluable gift: their flowers.

Juliette's Roses

An ancestral transformation process

In spring, don't expect to see a rose garden adorned with a thousand colors; Juliette works every morning to top them to extract their benefits in a precious hydrosol.

Surrounded by perfectly blooming roses, she retreats to her workshop, where the copper still, meticulously designed to optimize distillation, comes to life. One kilo of flowers, two hours of distillation for one liter of rosewater… An ancient Persian technique, inherited from the Middle Ages, that preserves the plant's full spectrum of properties . Next to the distillery, she has built a small jam-making workshop to concoct rose jams in old copper basins.

And when you discover the small boutique of this magical place, it's impossible to resist the urge to smell and taste... Forget the soapy rose water, here it reveals itself in all its finesse, delicacy, and refinement. Some might call it luxury, but Juliette, in her simplicity, prefers the idea of a rare and exceptional product. For her, it is above all the pure essence of nature, with a deep respect for the living.

To enter this place is to encounter poetry in its natural state. Meeting Juliette is a true gift, an encounter that convinces you that this woman was undoubtedly born from a perfumed rose...
