SHOW - Musical Comedy
The Mussipontain troupe “Créativa” and the Mussipontain Amateur Theatre Educational Complex present: “The Princess of Montpensier”.
In the heart of 16th-century France, as the Wars of Religion tear the kingdom apart and the great noble families vie for power, a young woman sees her destiny slipping from her grasp. Betrothed to a marriage of convenience with the Prince of Montpensier, young Charlotte must renounce her first love. Torn between duty, passion, and political ambitions, she finds herself at the center of a whirlwind where the Duke of Guise, the Duke of Anjou, and the mysterious Count of Chabannes all cross paths.
In a world where feelings are overshadowed by the interests of the powerful, the Princess tries to follow her heart without betraying her rank. But every choice brings new wounds, and thwarted love intertwines with the dramas of an era marked by violence and division.
Inspired by Madame de Lafayette's famous novella, this musical comedy immerses you in a historical epic where love, duty, and regret intertwine, leading the heroine towards a destiny as moving as it is unforgettable.
A timeless story where the greatest battles are not always fought on the battlefields, but in the hearts of men and women.
